Patient Access Representative – Entry Level

• Schedule and confirm appointments
• Verify insurance information and eligibility
• Collect required forms identification and patient information
• Answer incoming calls and direct patient questions appropriately
• Enter and update information in electronic health record systems
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records
• Follow HIPAA and organizational privacy requirements
• Assist clinical and administrative staff with basic front-office duties

Basic Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Current HIPAA training certificate required
• Basic computer and data-entry skills
• Strong communication and customer-service skills
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
• Comfortable working with patients in a healthcare environment
• Ability to learn electronic health record and scheduling systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous customer service receptionist healthcare or office experience
• Familiarity with insurance verification or medical terminology
• Experience using an electronic health record system
