Patient Access Registration Rep 40hr

Position Purpose

Completes patient registrations/pre-registration in the ED. Processes include obtaining accurate demographic insurance and patient liability information. Responsible for working with multiple department/hospital and web-based systems.

What you will do

• Performs complete and accurate pre-registrations registration and admission functions
• Verifies insurance requirements obtains and understands insurance benefits
• Ensures that all entries concerning demographic financial and advanced directives are
• Collects non-covered fees

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum High school or equivalent
• One year experience in an accredited hospital or physicians office preferred
• Strong interpersonal communication and interview skills
• Demonstrated proficiency in the use of computer systems and computer devices
• Knowledge of medical terminology and medical insurances

Pay Range: $17.50 - $25.00 per hour

Pay is based on experience skills and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
