Job Title:Permanent Pathologists Assistant

Location:Louisiana


Compensation: $100K-$140K depending on experience.


Schedule: Monday-Friday Day Shift

Responsibilities:


  • Perform accurate gross dissection and detailed description of surgical specimens across the full case spectrum - from routine biopsies to complex cancer resections
  • Specimen processing and submission for histologic processing and special studies
  • Rotate between privately owned laboratory (primary grossing site) and hospital lab ensuring broad balanced clinical exposure
  • Collaborate closely with pathologists and technical staff to maintain quality and workflow efficiency
  • Contribute to lab workflow coordination and other duties as assigned


Requirements


  • Graduate of an NAACLS/ASCP-accredited Pathologists Assistant program
  • PA(ASCP) certification or eligibility to sit for the board exam
  • Ability to work cooperatively within diverse clinical environments
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to build positive working relationships with pathologists and technical staff
