Part-Time Teacher Mentor

The Teacher Mentor provides instructional support to first-year and early-career teachers. The mentor works with new teachers to strengthen instructional practices support classroom management and assist with lesson planning. The goal of this position is to build teacher effectiveness confidence and instructional habits that improve student outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support first-year and early-career teachers in instructional practices
• Model high-impact instructional strategies and classroom management techniques
• Assist with lesson planning and implementation of district curriculum in literacy and numeracy
• Build positive trusting relationships with teachers and administrators
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in the mentor/new teacher relationship

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 10 years of successful classroom teaching experience
• Ability to build positive trusting relationships with teachers and administrators

Pay: Compensation will be commensurate with experience and degree attainment.
