Clinical Registered Dietitian Position - Part-time/Hybrid (50% Remote)

Overview: This exciting opportunity for a Registered Dietitian offers a flexible and rewarding work-life balance with a blend of in-person and remote work options supporting an inpatient behavioral health hospital across two campuses in the area.
Schedule: 12-24 hours per week (50% remote)
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive nutrition assessments for patients identified at nutritional risk adhering to facility policies and procedures
- Develop implement and monitor individualized evidence-based nutrition care plans for patients with psychiatric and co-occurring medical conditions
- Address nutrition concerns common in behavioral health including medication-related weight changes metabolic risk disordered eating and substance use recovery
- Provide nutrition education and counseling to patients individually and in groups to support recovery and discharge planning
- Collaborate with psychiatrists nurses therapists and other members of the interdisciplinary treatment team to optimize patient outcomes
- Review therapeutic diet orders and collaborate with food service to ensure meals meet patient needs and regulatory standards
- Ensure compliance with all hospital policies and regulatory standards (e.g. TJC CMS)
- Maintain thorough and timely electronic medical record documentation
- Serve as a nutrition expert and resource for hospital staff contributing to staff education
- Perform other tasks as assigned and within scope of practice as needed
Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Dietetics Nutrition or a related field from an accredited program
- Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (RD/RDN)
- Washington State Certified Dietitian (CD) or eligible to obtain before start
- Behavioral health psychiatric or eating disorder experience preferred
- Clinical experience in a hospital or inpatient setting preferred
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for working with patients and interdisciplinary teams
- Ability to work autonomously manage time across two campuses and prioritize effectively
- Reliable transportation for travel between the Kirkland and Everett campuses
