Part-Time Orthodontic Assistant

This is a part-time position Wednesday-Friday and may be required on select Mondays.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Present the patient to the doctor.

• Take expose and develop digital radiographs (panoramic).

• Record and maintain clinical notes in the patient chart.

• Provide hygiene and diet education.

• Assist the dentist during treatment procedures in office.

• Take impressions.

• Schedule follow-up exams.

• Sanitize dental chairs and operatory rooms.

• Parent consults-discuss treatment plans/if chairside

• Clean and sterilize instruments.

• Equipment maintenance

• Lab work.

• Restock supplies in rooms and sterilization area.

• Infection control & maintenance of OSHA guidelines.

• Write letters to be sent to referrals.

• Participate in office community service projects.

• Other duties as assigned by Clinic Coordinator Office Manager Practice Administrator or Dentists
