Part Time Kennel Technician

Responsibilities include:

• Providing daily care for hospitalized pets including feeding watering walking and monitoring comfort and well-being
• Administering medications as directed by the veterinary team
• Bathing and brushing pets as needed
• Assisting with patient check-in and check-out procedures
• Maintaining accurate patient records and communicating observations to the veterinary team
• Cleaning and disinfecting kennels runs cages and treatment areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment
• Assisting veterinarians technicians and veterinary assistants with patient handling and restraint
• Supporting diagnostic and treatment procedures including sample collection radiographs and laboratory work when appropriate
• Maintaining a clean organized and welcoming hospital environment
• Providing compassionate care and attention to every patient throughout their stay

What Were Looking For

• A genuine passion for animal care and welfare
• Dependable hardworking and team-oriented attitude
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Comfortable handling dogs cats and exotic pets of varying sizes and temperaments
• Previous animal care kennel boarding or veterinary experience is a plus but were happy to train the right person
