Job Description
The Department of History at Winthrop University is seeking applications for part-time adjunct instructor position with the expertise needed to serve as an Instructor of History. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated and experienced individual who can teach introductory courses on World Civilizations specifically HIST 111 (World Civilizations from Antiquity to 950 CE) HIST 112 (World Civilizations fromCE) or HIST 113 (World Civilizations from 1750 present). The Winthrop Department of History boasts an exceptional team of faculty known for their engaging teaching in classes that serve students from diverse backgrounds and learning communities. The department also collaborates with other departments on campus to deliver its major curriculum for double/dual majors as well as secondary education degrees.
Required Qualifications
M.A. in History with at least 18 hrs. of coursework in History courses completed at the graduate level.
Preferred Qualifications
Candidate has a background in European History and can teach courses on that topic.
