Job Summary

EMS Unlimited is looking for a reliable organized and personable individual to join our Omaha team in a part-time Administrative Assistant/HR Coordinator role. This position plays an important part in supporting employee onboarding administrative operations and day-to-day office functions.

This role serves as assistant to the Chief of Administration and is responsible for completing any tasks assigned by them in addition to the core responsibilities listed below.

Were looking for someone who enjoys working with people communicates well and is comfortable with technology. The ideal candidate can juggle multiple tasks and is capable of working independently once they become familiar with their responsibilities. HR experience is preferred.

This is a part-time position of approximately 2030 hours per week generally Monday through Friday with a flexible schedule. The role will be based out of our Omaha station. 

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Serving as assistant to the Chief of Administration completing tasks and projects as assigned
  • Assisting with new employee onboarding and orientation
  • Communicating with applicants employees managers and vendors by phone email and messaging platforms
  • Maintaining records and documents across multiple software systems
  • Supporting administrative scheduling and HR-related functions
  • Following up on open tasks and ensuring communications are completed in a timely manner
  • Assisting with special projects and process improvements as needed

Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Experience with employee onboarding HR or administrative work preferred
  • Comfortable using computers and troubleshooting basic technology issues
  • Proficient with Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook Word Excel Teams and SharePoint
  • Strong reading comprehension and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative when problems arise
  • Forward-thinking mindset with a willingness to improve processes and find solutions
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain timely communication without letting emails messages or projects fall through the cracks
