MATERIALS 1. Demonstration of at least one of the following:a. Completion of at least two years of study at an institution of higher education.b. Possession of an associates degree or higher.c. Through a local or state assessment that is appropriate to the responsibilities to beassigned to the paraprofessional knowledge of and ability to assist in instructingreading writing and mathematics.2. Demonstrate proficiency in reading writing and mathematics skills up to or exceedingthat required for high school seniors.3. Ability to follow oral and written directions.4. Knowledge of basic clerical procedures.5. Ability to work effectively and harmoniously in a multiethnic environment.6. Bilingual ability may be required depending on assignment.
