In this role you will have the opportunity to:
- Conduct legal research to support filings investigations regulatory matters and litigation preparation.
- Review statutes administrative regulations and legal journals to support attorneys with case strategy.
- Investigate facts gather records and prepare summaries for attorney review.
- Draft and prepare legal documents including subpoenas complaints motions responses and pretrial materials under attorney supervision.
- Prepare correspondence legal memoranda and supporting documents for hearings meetings and filings.
- Work with internal teams (HR Safety Operations Medical Procurement) to gather documentation and information needed for legal matters.
- Support attorneys during interviews hearings depositions and internal meetings by taking organized notes and tracking follow-up items.
- Assist new or junior attorneys with understanding internal workflows and document preparation procedures.
- Maintain case files document repositories and legal libraries ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
- Support digital recordkeeping and organization of legacy documents.
- Handle sensitive information with professionalism confidentiality and discretion.
Qualifications:

- Preferred (but not required) Bachelors degree in Paralegal Studies Legal Studies Criminal Justice or a related field
- Paralegal certificate or equivalent practical experience
- Experience in a law firm corporate legal department government agency insurance company or regulated industry
- Exposure to litigation regulatory issues compliance administrative law investigations contracts or general corporate legal work
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail with strong organizational abilities
- Ability to work independently manage time and prioritize tasks
- Comfort working with confidential information
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint)
- Basic understanding of legal terminology processes and procedures (or a willingness to learn quickly)
