TheMedical Malpractice Paralegals is responsible for below specific duties.
Your specific duties will include:
- Support attorneys throughout all phases of medical malpractice cases from pre-suit through trial.
- Assist with the preparation and filing of pleadings motions discovery subpoenas and other litigation documents.
- Draft and coordinate discovery requests and responses including interrogatories requests for production and requests for admissions.
- Obtain organize review and summarize medical records billing records and other case-related documentation.
- Prepare medical chronologies case summaries timelines and other materials to assist attorneys with case evaluation and strategy.
- Assist with identifying retaining and coordinating medical and other expert witnesses.
- Communicate with clients medical providers experts opposing counsel and litigation vendors regarding case-related matters.
- Coordinate depositions mediations hearings inspections and other litigation events.
- Track discovery court deadlines expert deadlines and other critical case milestones.
- Prepare deposition mediation hearing and trial materials including exhibits and case files.
- 3 years of Medical Malpractice or Nursing Home Abuse experience.
- Proficient computer skills
- Strong writeen and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and completeness.
- Aderant Total Office software experience
- Bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred.
