EESP 2025-2026 Salary Schedule Rate Range:
- $25.23 - $28.98 per hour
- Will be updated per EESP CBA Salary Schedule 2026-2027
Assignment:
- Mon Fri; 6.5 hours per day

Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Meets NCLB definition of highly qualified requirements:
- A two-year Associate degree
- 72-quarter or 48-semester college credits or
- A passing score of 455 on the ETS Para Pro Assessment
- WSP/FBI fingerprint background clearance (fee paid by the employee)
- Regular attendance is an essential function of this position
- The safety and health of students and others are essential functions of this position
Preferred Qualifications:
- Work with students in a group setting to provide academic support
- Provide support during classroom activities and field trips
- Follows the direction of the certificated staff
- Able to support the meeting of ALE goals
- Functional member of the building ALE team
- Seeks out strategies to improve student interactions
- Reliable in demeanor attendance and collaboration
- Positive and flexible attitude with students staff parents and community members
- Willingness to work toward successful demonstration of core competencies
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Demonstrated competence in basic academic/communication skills appropriate to site assignment
Responsibilities:
Work with the ALE programs of Elma School District. Duties include but not limited to:
- Assist ALE instructors in supporting students with GED testing test proctoring and learning plans.
- Assist with maintaining classroom discipline promoting respect and addressing any behavioral concerns in line with school policies and procedures.
- Help manage materials equipment and classroom tools ensuring safety protocols are followed particularly during hands-on technical or vocational tasks.
- Monitor student behavior and intervene when necessary following appropriate protocols to ensure a safe and supportive environment.
- Provide feedback to the instructor about student performance behavior and any challenges that may need additional attention.
- Assist in facilitating student-led conferences workshops or events designed to increase awareness of postsecondary opportunities.
