Job Summary
Position Summary:
Assemble and wire electrical control panels for standard as well as custom-built power conversion products/assemblies which include AC and DC Low Voltage Drives Inverters for Battery Energy Storage & EV charging Medium Voltage Drives PLCs and HMIs for both industrial and renewable energy applications. Position requires working from production and assembly drawings parts lists diagrams schematics and verbal/written instructions within a Lean Manufacturing environment.
Essential Job Functions:
- Unbox and physically identify the mechanical and electrical components required for the assembly as per the layout drawings schematics and parts lists.
- Possess the ability to read schematics and layout the control panel per the dimensions given.
- Drill tap holes and mount/securely fasten components as required in enclosures and control panels.
- Quickly efficiently and accurately assemble and point to point wire electrical control panels while maintaining a high level of quality.
- Create and apply identification tags/labels as per drawings.
- Work cooperatively and communicate effectively with peers and management (team player).
- Identify and elevate opportunities for process improvements.
- Maintain a clean organized work environment and embrace the model for behavior supported by Nidec 3Q6S.
- Maintain working knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner.
Education/License Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required
Experience Requirements
- 2 years experience working as an electrical panel builder / wire person in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to recognize common electrical controls components.
- Ability to use hand (e.g. wire strippers/crimpers) and/or power tools (e.g. drills punches jigsaws).
- Ability to measure.
- Ability to read Electrical Drawings/Schematics.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
