THE ROLE

Were hiring a Paint Line Technician Level 1 at our Utah Facility. Youll prepare and clean steel pipe and other manufactured components for coating through blasting sanding grinding and masking as part of our Paint Line team.

WHAT YOULL DO

• Set up and prepare the blasting/paint area including arranging pipes setting up scaffolding or supports and securing the area for safe operation

• Clean degrease and prepare metal and manufactured components for coating

• Remove contaminants such as oil rust scale or debris using approved cleaning methods

• Perform sanding grinding or blasting to prepare surfaces per work instructions

• Mask and protect surfaces not intended to be coated such as threaded ends or other areas requiring special protection

• Clean and perform basic maintenance on blasting equipment

• Ensure paint materials and chemicals are stored and handled per safety and environmental requirements

• Maintain accurate production records and material usage logs

• Follow all safety quality and 5S standards; escalate safety quality or process concerns immediately

• Perform other duties as assigned

WHAT YOU NEED

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Good verbal and written communication skills

• Computer literacy

• Good problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently effectively and stay self-motivated

• Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality

• Physical ability to lift heavy material and stand for extended periods

NICE TO HAVE

• 13 years of painting experience

• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
