Packer 1 (Packaging Specialist)

Skills & Abilities

• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency in order processing systems.
• Ability to learn to resolve order discrepancies and inventory issues with OTJ experience.
• Detail-oriented with ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Certificates Licenses Registrations

None required; OSHA safety certification preferred.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 0-3 years of experience in parts ordering inventory management or warehouse operations.
• Experience with Avante and Oracle systems preferred.
• Ability to learn company procedures products and quality standards.
  

Work Environment

Primarily operates in a warehouse setting with exposure to material handling equipment and shipping operations.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to:

• Lift up to 70 pounds on a regular basis and up to 100 pounds with assistance when necessary.
• Stand and walk for extended periods.
• Frequently bend reach grasp push pull and perform repetitive motions.
• Handle products packaging materials and related equipment.
• Work in varying temperatures and a fast-paced production environment.
