The core responsibilities of the role include:

  • Conducted inbound and outbound shipment inspections by verifying product counts comparing inventory to manifests and customer orders and ensuring accuracy in quantity quality labeling and condition.
  • Identified and reported shortages damages mis-shipments and product quality concerns while maintaining accurate documentation and shipping records.
  • Operated forklifts and material handling equipment to load/unload freight support inventory counts and maintain a safe secure and organized warehouse environment.

Position: Packaging Operator 1

Shift: 1st Shift

Hours: 7 AM 3 PM

Days: Monday-Friday

Pay: $18.95

Required Qualifications: Strong attention to detail strong safety adherence ability to work standing for long periods of time computer experience and experience working in a WMS system with RF guns.

Role Purpose:

Efficiently operates packaging lines according to established procedures and customer specifications while meeting all quality standards.

Oversees the activities of associates assigned to specific packing area/product.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Package product into bags boxes or totes per customer specifications.
  • Document quality checks and enter into the system.
  • Read and disseminate information on the product specifications and packaging requirements.
  • Assist in training new associates and cross-training backup associates.
  • Pull product samples and test product mix labeling and or weight against specs.
  • Follow all safety environmental and quality guidelines.
  • Must be able to perform all duties of packaging operator II.
  • Maintain housekeeping duties around packaging equipment and in warehouse.
  • Responsible for lockout/tagout of equipment when clearing jams or performing basic maintenance.
  • Perform basic adjustments to operating equipment to maintain finished product conformity to specs.

Required Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
