Overhead Line Designer

Join ElectroNet and help design the electricity infrastructure that powers communities across Central Otago and beyond.

Network upgrades pole replacements and new 66kV line developments you will work on a diverse range of projects taking designs from concept through to construction while combining technical design fieldwork and collaboration with project teams.

Based in Cromwell you will enjoy challenging technical work alongside the lifestyle Central Otago is known for. Relocation assistance is available for you and your immediate family.

About you

• Experience as a line designer
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant line-design software such as COLDNet/CATAN PLS-CADD or PLS-POLE or similar line-design software
• Confidence working in the field including at remote sites
• A full New Zealand Class 1 driver licence
• Strong communication organisation and problem-solving skills
• A practical commitment to quality and safety.

Knowledge of New Zealand electricity-industry requirements and experience in distribution or sub-transmission design would be advantageous.
