The Role: Outpatient Practice Coding Supervisor

The Opportunity:

MaineGeneral Health is seeking a Outpatient Practice Coding Supervisor to join our team! This position will be responsible for oversight of practice coding.

The Work:

• Supervises daily staff activities for an assigned area or function in HIM
• Determines coordinates and supervises daily staffing assignments and levels
• Provides direction orientation training coaching and mentoring to staff
• Performs or assists with performance evaluations and disciplinary actions
• Assesses quality of services delivered and facilitates staff development programs
• Ensures staff compliance with departmental and organizational policies procedures and protocols
• Performs staff responsibilities as needed to fulfill required service levels
• Leads the handling and resolution of complex issues and complaints

You Have:

• Hands-on experience leading a team
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal written/verbal communication and support skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Associates degree in Health Information Management preferred
• Certification by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA)or by the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) preferred
• Previous HIM experience is strongly desired

The hourly pay range shown represents the base pay range for this position. Individual pay is determined based on factors such as experience qualifications skills and market addition to base pay eligible team members may earn additional compensation through shift weekend holiday on-call and other applicable differentials.
