Optical Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities:
You will join our team working closely with seasoned engineers and mentors who will provide guidance for implementing leadingedge technologies
Under this guidance provide vision leadership and direction in developing CACI strategic initiatives to address emerging photonics needs
Foster an entrepreneurial culture by leading and developing a team grounded in strong work ethic dedication and intellectual curiosity
Lead and support equipment and facilities expansion
Implement processcapability monitoring and improvement including use of statistical process control
Provide direction in problem solving product or process characterization processefficiency improvements and continuousimprovement activities
Drive optimization of products for improved manufacturability cycle time and cost reductions
Work with design teams to ensure Design for Manufacturing (DFM) is incorporated into future products and supports successful manufacturing readiness review
Work with engineering to negotiate product specifications and print acceptance criteria
Travel to other CACI locations or customer sites as necessary (<10% travel)
Perform other duties as required
Solve production issues with optics and mechanical assemblies
Possess strong optical and mechanical background
