Job Description:

The UF Health Cancer Institute is the 72nd NCI-designated cancer center and the only NCI-designated cancer center based at a public university in the state of Florida. As a matrix cancer center UFHCI spans all 16 colleges at the University of Florida bringing together a multidisciplinary community of faculty and staff to address the cancer burden faced by the populations we serve and advance our shared mission to prevent detect treat and ultimately cure cancer.

As an Education Program Data Coordinator at the UF Health Cancer Institute (UFHCI) you will support the Education team in maintaining and managing trainee and program data for the Cancer Training & Education Program.

In your new role you will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining updating and quality-checking the Cancer Training & Education Programs database of current and former students and trainees.

  • Entering organizing and reviewing trainee data to ensure accuracy completeness consistency and appropriate data security.

  • Conducting follow-up with former students and trainees to track educational and career outcomes including career placement publications grants awards and other accomplishments.

  • Supporting program events conferences communications outreach and other Education program activities.

Expected Salary:

$17.00 hourly

This is an OPS position and is eligible for a suite of excellent benefits and retirement options.

Required Qualifications:

Knowledge/Experience:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent. Successful pre-employment screening including a background check.

Skills/Abilities:

  • Good organization and communication skills for collaborative work across teams and functions.
Preferred:

Knowledge/Experience:

  • Understanding of confidentiality and data privacy standards.
  • Experience with data entry database management or records upkeep.
  • Experience using survey software solutions and data collection tools including Qualtrics.
  • Experience working in a professional environment.

Qualities:

  • Strong desire to learn seek out and apply new knowledge methods and information.
  • Interest in a career in higher education administration research or healthcare.

Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite especially Excel.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively while managing multiple projects and deadlines.
