Operator I (1st Shift)

Pay Range $19.00-$21.50MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:This is an Entry-level position with knowledge of the job and/or has extensive prior experience. Operators perform typical operations and light assembly within the injection molding JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Put Safety First. Identify and report any unsafe condition that affects employee safety including good housekeeping (5S) and IS VERY IMPORTANT. All Associates are required to report to their scheduled shift on time and work their entire machines and/or get parts from bins under injection molding machines while maintaining output targets (productivity) and product quality. Trim Inspect Package parts as applicable (customer specific).Communicates and reports reject data and notification to Production Supervisor or Team LeadComplete paperwork accurately per Good Documentation Practices (GDP) relief for coworkers breaks as required by Team Leader or and follow instructions given by the Team Leader Supervisor or duties as :Develop skills to perform basic repetitive and manual activities in the job and ability to meet production ratesFollowing existing procedures and Operator Instructions (OI) independently or with minimal supervisionParticipate in Continuous Improvement Events & Problem SolvingNO disciplinary actions in the last nine (9) months or no attendance issues in the last nine (9) monthsResponsible for questioning quality of products to identify defects Work overtime as needed (daily and or weekends/holidays)Ability to work as a teamAbility to read understand and follow specification sheetsBasic math skills to understand production totals and deductions product tolerances and variationREQUREMENTS: Must be 18 years of ageEducation: High School Diploma or GED (preferred)Ability to understand English (verbal and written)Light work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently and/or lift carry push pull or move objects with significant use of handsExcellent vision & hand-eye coordinationExtended periods of bending lifting standing and sitting
