Operator B Carpet Cushion Accumulator 3rd Shift

Carpenter Co. has an immediate opening for an Operator B/ Accumulator (machine operator) on our 3rd shift team. This position is located at our manufacturing plant in Temple Tx.

In this role you will be responsible for the safe operation of specialized manufacturing equipment. You will produce high-quality components and finished carpet cushion products for our internal and external customers following a daily production schedule. Initial 46-week training on 1st shift while full team is onboarded.

Position Description

• Operate the Accumulator machine to cut foam slabs into usable components based on production schedule and customer specifications
• Monitor equipment closely to keep machinery downtime to a minimum
• Conduct quality checks to ensure all wrapped rolls meet length and thickness specifications
• Rework any defective or damaged rolls
• Communicate with management to ensure cut blocks are labeled properly
• Maintain a neat orderly and safe work environment

Skills / Requirements

• Ability to lift carpet cushion rolls weighing between 35 to 90 lbs.
• Ability to read a basic tape measure
• Ability to read write and completely understand the English labeling process
• Ability to follow verbal and written work instructions
