Job Summary

Job Title Operator 2 Warehouse Operations

Location : Sparks MD

Duration 11 Months Contract
Total Hours/week - 40.00
pay range -$16-20/hr
Shift Work days/hours : Monday-Friday 4:00 p.m.-12:30 a.m.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Pallet/Case Picking
  • Processing customer orders including but not limited to: scanning bar codes picking and labeling boxes.
  • Pick pack and process orders.
  • Processing orders through RF technology.
  • Maintains an acceptable work area as outlined in SOP and work instructions.
  • Responsible for following Good Documentation Practices (GDP) as outlined in SOP.
  • Complete all necessary RF device training to obtain the necessary profiles
  • Responsible for accuracy verification and shipment packaging.

Pallet Build

  • Palletizing to include scanning retrieving and placing completed orders on pallets.
  • Re-palletizing products for shipment.
  • May be responsible for dock manifest duties which includes scanning completed pallets and running the shrink wrapper.
  • May be required to transport pallets by MHE.
  • Responsible for accuracy verification and shipment packaging.

Inbound/Outbound/Inventory Movement

  • Inbound/Outbound shipments are to be loaded/unloaded utilizing the WMS.
  • Ensure every effort is made to load/off-load pallets in a manner that promotes safety and impedes damages.
  • Completes all assigned duties in a timely manner in accordance with department standards and following department procedures.
  • May be responsible for operating the parcel manifest station.
  • May be responsible for transportation documentation
  • Maintains an acceptable work area as outlined in SOP and work instructions.
  • Complete all necessary RF device training to obtain the necessary profiles
  • Responsible for following Good Documentation Practices (GDP) as outlined in SOP.
  • Must follow all safety instructions to maintain safe working conditions and to adhere to proper operating practices and procedures designed to prevent injuries and illnesses.
  • May be required to perform other duties as assigned.
  • Required to maintain current status in C2C training modules
  • Responsible for accuracy verification and shipment packaging

Material handling equipment

  • Material handling equipment must be operated in a safe manner by designated associates only.
  • All damage and/or maintenance issues must be reported immediately.
  • Equipment must be kept neat and orderly in compliance with established procedures.
  • Must be able to maintain equipment certification at all times.


    Safety and Security
  • Associates are responsible for performing their job activities in a safe and reasonable manner and in accordance with safety requirements.
  • Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse and conduct all activities in a manner that promotes a safe environment.
  • All injuries accidents unsafe acts hazards or conditions must be reported immediately.
    Report any suspicious persons or activity.

  • Maintain a clean and professional image.
  • To ensure the cleanliness of the facility follow guidelines as outlined.
  • The associate must maintain a clean neat and orderly work area at all time
    Hazmat Training
  • This associate may be provided with Hazmat training to include general awareness function specific security awareness security plan and safety training.
    Cross-training
  • Become knowledgeable with the responsibilities of the other warehouse positions.
  • Assist as required.
  • Act as back up at times of absence or vacation.

    Job Requirements
  • High School diploma GED or 2 years of relevant experience required.
  • Experience with MHE. Including but not limited to Order Pickers Reach Trucks Counter
  • Balance (slip and clamp) and Dock Stocker.
  • Must be able to obtain Forklift Certification to meet BD guidelines.
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced distribution environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret distribution documents.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • May be required to operate MHE and use Voice/RF scanner.
  • Ability to perform/operate in a metrics-driven environment.
  • Basic analytical organizational and prioritization skills.
  • General distribution knowledge.
  • The position will almost always have exposure to work near moving mechanical equipment.

  • The job may require lifting up to 50lbs in some areas but not all.
