Job Summary
This position operates on a 12 hour shift schedule.
The Operations Trainer is responsible for developing and qualifying production employees through effective onboarding hands-on training and ongoing skills development. This role partners with Operations leadership and subject matter experts to ensure employees can safely perform manufacturing processes follow procedures meet quality standards and maintain production readiness.
- Deliver hands-on classroom and one-on-one training for production employees.
- Lead new hire onboarding and support employees through role qualification.
- Provide structured on-the-job training (OJT) coaching and skill validation on manufacturing processes equipment and procedures.
- Observe employee performance on the production floor and provide real-time feedback to improve safety quality consistency and efficiency.
- Ensure employees understand and correctly apply SOPs work instructions GMP requirements and safe work practices.
- Build employee confidence and competency through coaching demonstration practice and performance verification.
- Partner with supervisors managers and subject matter experts to identify training needs and skill gaps.
- Track employee progress certifications and retraining requirements.
- Support cross-training initiatives to improve workforce flexibility and operational readiness.
- Assist with training for process changes new equipment and updated procedures.
- Maintain accurate training records and support audit readiness.
- Identify opportunities to improve training materials qualification processes and learning effectiveness.
- Promote a culture of accountability continuous improvement quality and teamwork.
- Enhance workforce capability scalability and operational readiness.
- 3 years of experience in manufacturing production or operations training.
- Experience delivering hands-on training OJT and employee qualification programs.
- Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment (GMP preferred).
- Ability to coach employees and communicate technical processes clearly.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
- Experience as a production trainer lead operator supervisor or manufacturing subject matter expert.
- Experience training on equipment processes SOPs and controlled documentation.
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and effective training techniques.
