Job Summary
Allied Reliability is seekig an operations Supervisor for a short-term contarct (approximately 3 months) for highest performing Lubricants Operating Plants network processing approximately 60 million gallons of pack lubricant products ranging from motor oils to industrial fluids. Additionally the site ships bulk and receives bulk products for packaging.
Respomsibilities: - The Supervisor provides leadership and direction daily to the shift team. The Operations Supervisor is a vital part of theteam to assure the safe daily execution of the Production Plan. This leader will drive a continuous improvement and learner mindset with their team and peers as each department is highly integrated to ensure we are safely getting quality products out the door on time and in full to our customers at the lowest cost.
Position description - Accountabilities
- Understand the daily production plan and use of various digital tools for key performance and production metrics (Production Schedule Adherence Plan to Production Blending OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) Right First Time blend rate) to enable the shift team execution of the daily plan.
- Actively engages and collaborates with other teams including Lab Packaging Truck Rack Maintenance Blending and Planning to optimize the plan and resolve conflicts.
- Leads consistent implementation of plantwide policies work processes procedures and practices to ensure that the site remains a wonderful place to work and meets/exceeds customer expectations through safe sustainable efficient operation.
- Set the highest standards for Safety within the HSSE Management System which are part of the site culture and Goal Zero performance fostering compliance intervention and respect.
- Ensure operations are carried out per GSAP defined processes.
- Lead Continuous Improvement activities including Root Cause Analysis and carrying out Corrective and Preventative Actions.
- Manage and minimize inventory variance and value leakage as well as track and report material usage and waste.
- Support increased digitalization of processes for improved visibility of performance and efficiency of operations.
- Assures required competencies are in place or works with team member to develop competence.
- Participates in review of incidents including safety quality Right First Time with a learner mindset to understand root cause and then plays a key leadership role in mitigating the root causes and preventing recurrence.
- Helps support and improve work procedures and processes. Escalates when inaccurate or not fit for purpose.
- Provide cross department back up supervisor coverage when needed.
Experience and Qualifications Required
- A bachelors degree in supply chain manufacturing engineering or relevant experience is required
- Previous experience in blending bulk loading and packaging motor oils and/or chemicals is desirable.
- Strong commitment to Goal Zero and proven record of accomplishment on HSSE leadership/competences
- Success in developing and leading teams and proven ability to coach and develop people
- Proven change management skills
- Must be an ardent team player
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with production targets while still motivating the team and making them feel valued.
- PowerBI and LocStatt familiarity is a plus
- Experience managing a unionized workforce is desirable.
- Work schedule details: rotate day afternoon and night shifts opportunity to transition to different shift in the future 5 days a week and a 9/80 schedule. Will require some overtime and weekend work periodically.
