Operations Service Team Technician, DCEO Engr 4 AG (L4)

Operations Service Team (OST) Technicians are Amazons front line responders for hands-on electrical and mechanical operations and troubleshooting. They maintain operate troubleshoot and repair Data Center Operations Mission Critical Facilities which includes stand-by diesel generators and related fuel systems 3 phase electrical systems that include but not limited to switchgear UPSs PDUs wet cell batteries and associated systems CRAC air handlers and associated systems pumps & motors.

This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph. Upon application you will be asked qualifying questions that will be used only in relation to the US Government Security Clearance required for this role.

Key job responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repair tasks to HVAC equipment
- Operate and maintain mechanical electrical generator and fire/life safety equipment within the data center
- Troubleshoot facility equipment within internal SLAs
- Provide support to Data Center Operations technicians
- Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures
- Ensure all safety procedures are adhered to while performing work
- Write procedures
- Work a 40 hour week Monday through Friday typically during the day
- Utilize internal CMMS to manage building workflows and spare part inventory
- Supervise contractors who perform servicing or preventive maintenance
- Respond to off hour emergency calls per on call rotation for any one of the regions sites
- Fully comply with all physical security procedures and policies
- Drive innovation while reducing operational costs in the facilities
- Manipulate small wires and objects

Perform the following tasks with or without reasonable accommodation:

- Regularly lift and/or move up to 39 pounds; and participate in group lifts for 40 pounds or more

- 4 years of data center engineering experience
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Knowledge of network design and layout as well as low voltage (copper/ fiber) cabling
- Experience in data center engineering
- Can perform physical tasks all day without becoming overly tired

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
