Summary
TheOperationManager willbe responsible foroverseeing and coordinating the day-to-day operations of the transportation andlogisticsdepartment. This role will involve working closely with other departments within the company as well as external partners and suppliers to ensure efficient and effective transportation andlogisticsprocesses are in place.
Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee the transportation andlogisticsdepartments daily operations to ensure all processes run smoothly and efficiently
Coordinate with internal departments such as sales and customer service to ensure customer needs are met
Develop and implement transportation andlogisticsstrategies to improve efficiency reduce costs and increase profitability
Collaborate with external partners such as carriers and suppliers tomaintainstrong relationships and ensure reliable transportation services
Monitor transportation andlogisticsperformance metrics and implement corrective actions where necessary
Conduct regular audits of transportation andlogisticsprocesses to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations
Providetimelyandaccuratereports on transportation andlogisticsactivities to management
Identifyand implement continuous improvement initiatives tooptimizetransportation andlogisticsoperations
Educational background / Work experience
A bachelors degree in transportation andlogistics supply chain management or a related field is preferred.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation andlogisticsmanagement isrequired. Experience in the freightforwardingindustry is preferred.

Knowledge of transportation andlogisticsregulations and compliance
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
Certification in transportation andlogistics such as Certified Transportation Professional (CTP) or Certified Logistics Professional (CLP)
Experience with transportation management software (TMS)
Language skills
Fluent in English (oral and written)
Computer Literacy
Proficiencyin Microsoft Office Suite isrequired.
Experience with transportation management software (TMS) is preferred.

For this position the expected base pay range is$82560.00 $123840.00 Annual. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience skills education certifications and geographic location in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
