The Purpose:

We are looking for an Operations Manager to join our growing team! As the Operations Manager you will be responsible for building and leading the operational foundation that powers Assemblys success. Youll ensure every project is set up for seamless execution from initial planning and resource allocation through installation dismantle return reset and continuous improvement. You will oversee operational readiness asset deployment field standards labor and freight planning vendor coordination and the ongoing operationalization of Spacecube solutions ensuring work is delivered safely efficiently consistently and profitably.

In this role youll do much more than solve daily operational challenges. Youll create and strengthen the processes systems and disciplines that allow Assembly to scale effectively. By building a repeatable operating model youll help reduce reliance on senior leadership intervention empower teams to execute with confidence and drive operational excellence across the organization. Your work will directly influence Assemblys ability to grow improve performance and deliver exceptional results for clients and partners alike.

The Job:
Operational Planning and Readiness
  • Own overall operational readiness across Assembly projects.
  • Translate awarded work and qualified pipeline into labor field supervision equipment trucking vendor asset Spacecube interiors and yard / warehouse requirements.
  • Lead operational planning for active projects upcoming mobilizations and known project risks.
  • Ensure operational requirements are identified early enough to influence estimating pricing scheduling and client commitments.
  • Establish and maintain practical readiness gates for mobilization including scope assets labor equipment freight drawings site access client expectations and known-risk ownership.
  • Identify capacity constraints before they affect client experience margin safety project schedule or execution quality.
Operational Feasibility and Preproduction Support
  • Provide operational and technical input during opportunity qualification estimating site planning build methodology logistics planning and preproduction.
  • Lead operational feasibility review for larger unusual complex compressed-schedule Spacecube new-client or higher-risk opportunities.
  • Identify execution risks before Assembly makes commitments that could create avoidable cost margin schedule safety or client-experience issues.
  • Partner with Project Management to ensure final project plans reflect realistic labor asset freight site vendor and field assumptions.
  • Support estimating with operational assumptions vendor pricing labor planning logistics input and known execution requirements.
Assets Inventory and Fleet Readiness
  • Maintain oversight of structure and equipment inventory including readiness maintenance tracking deployment return inspection repair and utilization.
  • Ensure assets are properly prepared before deployment and properly inspected documented cleaned repaired and reset after return.
  • Improve visibility into available reserved deployed returning damaged maintenance and future-available inventory.
  • Support asset-allocation decisions using revenue margin schedule freight labor strategic account value repeatability and opportunity cost.
  • Manage Spacecube units as a fleet including deployment history condition location maintenance repairs modifications availability and future reservation.
Field Execution and Standards
  • Establish clear field standards installation expectations site conduct requirements safety expectations quality expectations and escalation paths.
  • Support field supervisors before and during mobilization so crews receive clear project information before arriving on site.
  • Resolve technical logistical resource or field-execution issues that arise during project execution.
  • Improve repeatability in installation dismantle return inspection refurbishment and redeployment.
  • Lead post-project operational reviews and convert lessons learned into improved standards estimates processes and future execution plans.
Spacecube Operationalization
  • Lead the operational integration of Spacecube in the United States.
  • Develop repeatable procedures for Spacecube transportation storage installation placement leveling lifting interiors integration utility coordination dismantle inspection maintenance repair reset and redeployment.
  • Coordinate training field standards vendor support asset tracking maintenance routines and project-readiness requirements for Spacecube.
  • Work with Project Management and commercial leadership to ensure Spacecube is sold estimated planned and executed as a repeatable operating platform rather than as a one-off product.
Vendor Subcontractor Labor and Freight Coordination
  • Plan and coordinate labor supervisors equipment trucking vendors subcontractors and other operational resources.
  • Maintain vendor and subcontractor performance expectations for schedule scope pricing quality documentation and communication.
  • Improve labor efficiency freight planning equipment planning vendor performance and execution consistency.
  • Support field supervisor development through clear expectations standards accountability feedback and training.
Financial and Continuous Improvement
  • Partner with Project Management to improve budget accuracy estimate-to-actual learning margin visibility and operational cost control.
  • Lead operational review of labor assumptions freight costs equipment costs site contingencies vendor pricing installation durations dismantle performance and preventable rework.
  • Identify recurring operational issues and implement process improvements that reduce repeat mistakes.
  • Support project closeout by contributing operational lessons learned variance explanations asset-condition information and process improvements.
  • Work with Project Management and the Managing Director to improve labor efficiency freight efficiency asset utilization vendor performance and project margin.
The Person:
  • 710 years of experience in operations
  • 3 years of leadership experience preferred
  • Bachelors degree preferred; equivalent industry and leadership experience should be considered
  • Based in the Atlanta GA area or willing to be based there; this role requires regular travel and onsite presence when projects require operational leadership
  • Strategic execution-focused leader with strong business acumen and the ability to balance workforce planning financial budgets with commercial priorities / forecasts
  • Highly collaborative and influence-based communicator able to bridge commercial operational financial and cross-functional teams at scale
  • Data-driven systems-oriented operator with proven success building scalable processes and implementing enterprise-wide systems
  • Experience managing field operations logistics equipment vendors and multiple projects
  • OSHA 30 preferred
  • Experience in temporary structures event infrastructure or other asset-intensive environments strongly preferred
