Job summary:

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growthwerelooking to add aLeadlocatedinSalt Lake City UT.

Reporting to theProduction SupervisortheLeadrole involvesbeingresponsible forproviding leadership and direction to groups of non-exempt employees.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Provide feedback to supervisors about employees performance through formal and informal meetings.

  • Coordinatepeopleresource requirements for the department.

  • Communicate priority tasks to team daily and lead efforts towards production goals.

  • Highlight and investigate material shortages or discrepancies.

  • Help alert other departmentsaboutplanned and unplanned downtime.

  • Avoid downtime due to material shortages by ensuring that lines are supplied with sufficient materials.

  • Update pass down and down time communication reports to ensure communication flow with opposite shift.

  • Follow quality indicators and help alert others if predefined indicators fall below the target.

  • Organizeemployeesat assigned workstations and rearrange assignments when necessary.

  • Identifycauseof mass failures and make the necessary adjustments to overcome errors.

  • Recognizemonitor and overcome bottlenecks.

  • Motivate and mentor individual employees and small groups of employees.

  • Monitor employees performance and communicate totrainerswhat additional training is needed.

  • Have the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform all job requirements inareaof responsibility.

  • Be a leader in promoting compliance with 5S1 and quality assurance practices.

  • Besupervisorsfirst point of contact and be able to fill in for supervisor when necessary.

  • Ensure that accepted reasonable accommodations are met for employees inareaof responsibility.

The experiencewerelooking to add to our team:

  • Successful completion ofcompanyrequired training may be.

  • Must have 1 year of manufacturing experience at Flex or equivalent experience.

  • Requires a minimum of 6 certifications at Flex.

  • Ability to effectively present information inone on oneand small group situations to other employees and supervisors of the organization.

  • Ability to readcomprehend and interpret complex instructions.

  • Must have knowledge of some Microsoft office applications such as excel word and power point.

  • Ability to speak and understand English.

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables.

  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructionsfurnishedin various forms.
