Job Summary

Summary

This position is located at the Fort Campbell Army Fisher House.

Incentives and Bonuses

  • Incentives will not be paid.

Duties
  • Completes basic administrative duties as needed by the Operations Assistant or Assistant Business Manager.
  • Using office automation equipment and word processing software prepares a variety of correspondence memorandums briefings and other reports required for day-to-day operation.
  • Provides tours of the Fisher House to small groups conducts presentations to groups regarding the Fisher house mission when needed. May assist in conducting event marketing of the flyers and other promotional material.
  • Cleans equipment supplies and facility area. Maintain all assigned areas in a clean and sanitary condition. Wash dust polish vacuum sweep all areas of the establishment.
  • Removes damaged or unusable equipment from inventory. Provides customer service to residents and provides assistance and/or direction as necessary-requested.

  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • A one year probationary period may be required.
  • Ability to work occasional Saturdays for special events.
  • A successful background investigation submission to the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) must be met no later than 30 calendar days after entry on duty or placement in the position for internal candidates.
  • Appointment is subject to the completion of a favorable suitability determination.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment physical demonstrating ability to stand stoop bend and kneel as well as be able to lift up to 40Ibs.
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3 para.2.
  • Incumbent may also required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities.
Qualifications

Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicants relevant experience skills knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position.

A qualified candidate must possess the following:

  • Experience working with the general public.
In addition to the above qualifications candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered Highly Preferred or Best Qualified:
  • At least six (6) months of experience providing customer service to facility/operational patrons including answering questions (telephonically in person or via email) conducting basic clerical work (filing printing etc.).
  • At least six (6) months of experience with Housekeeping or Custodial Worker duties.
Education

Foreign Education: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements you must show that the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.

Area of Consideration:

  • This job is open to candidates who are within the local commuting area is defined as Fort Campbell Tennessee and surrounding area within 50-mile radius; in addition to you are considered eligible if one of the following applies: 1) you live outside of this area and are able to commute to work on a daily/as needed basis 2) you are able to relocate yourself on your own expenses 3) you are an involuntarily separated military member or 4) you are a military spouse/family member relocating to this installation. Eligibility begins 30 days before the military sponsors reporting date at the new duty location.
  • Military Spouse Preference (MSP) and Involuntarily Separated Military Preference (ISMP) eligible candidates are included in the area of consideration.
Salary Information:
Salary is pro-rated based on a 40 hour work week.
Hourly salary is:
NF-02 $18.50ph to $21.50ph

  • Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Governments interest.
Allowances and Differentials
  • This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
  • Non-foreign overseas allowances cost of living (COLA) and differentials will not be paid contingent upon eligibility.
