Operations Agent

Lynden Logistics is looking for an Operations Agent to support our Domestic Operations team in Atlanta GA. As our Operations Agent youll support the full life cycle of domestic freight shipments from quoting and routing through final delivery helping customers move freight safely efficiently and on time. This is a safety sensitive Range:$21$27 per Schedule:Monday Friday 8:00 AM 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM 5:00 PM with occasional overtime and schedule flexibility based on business youll be doing:Coordinate domestic shipments from initial customer request through final rates secure spot quotes and select transportation solutions that meet customer timelines and budget shipment documentation including bills of lading labels and other supporting and trace shipments communicate status updates and proactively address delays or service shipment charges carrier invoices and customer billing information for with carriers vendors customers warehouses and internal teams to ensure freight moves smoothly through the transportation with warehouse activities such as receiving scanning weighing measuring staging loading unloading and releasing freight as business needs shipment issues identify root causes and coordinate corrective actions to resolve customer complete accurate and audit-ready shipment records while ensuring compliance with TSA requirements hazardous materials procedures customer SOPs and company you can look forward to:Discretionary Bonus Program Additional bonuses paid out depending on job and company Medical dental and vision plans with employee contributions as low as $5 for you and your Time Off 17 days paid time off PTO days increase with years of 6 paid holidays and 2 floating Plan 401(k) with up to 50% of the first 6% contributed Reimbursement Program Up to 50% of educational expenses reimbursed after 1 year of Life Insurance Health and Wellness Program Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance Transit Reimbursement Program Long Term Disability Coverage and Employee Assistance Program at no cost to you!To succeed in this role youll need these skills:Strong customer service skills and the ability to build positive working relationships with customers carriers and Microsoft Office skills with the ability to learn and navigate multiple proprietary operational organizational skills and attention to problem-solving abilities and the confidence to take ownership of issues through to manage multiple priorities and meet time-sensitive deadlines in a fast-paced written and verbal communication of freight documentation shipment routing and transportation these qualifications:High school diploma or of 2 years of freight forwarding or transportation operations experience or 3 years of customer service or transportation-related to obtain and maintain a TSA Security Threat Assessment (STA) or TSA-recognized equivalent to occasionally assist in warehouse operations and lift up to 50 pass a pre-employment drug test and background credit if you have:Air freight and ocean freight forwarding handling expedited hot-shot or time-critical with Puerto Rico Alaska or Hawaii freight personally review all candidates and promise to respond to all applications within 5 business days of now and help us keep the world moving!
