Operating Engineer – 2Nd Shift

Were looking for a highly skilled Operating Engineer to join a fast-paced facility environment where your technical expertise will make a direct impact. This role is ideal for a strong facilities professional with Central Plant Operations and MEP experience who can troubleshoot complex building systems and keep critical equipment operating at peak performance.

• Operate maintain troubleshoot and repair facility equipment across multiple building systems

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on HVAC mechanical electrical plumbing fire/life safety controls and structural systems

• Apply strong technical expertise in at least one primary craft area such as Electrical HVAC Piping/Plumbing or Central Utility Plant Operations

• Troubleshoot commercial and industrial systems identify root causes and take corrective action

• Monitor equipment performance record readings and make necessary operational adjustments

• Clean inspect calibrate and replace components to maintain HVAC and associated equipment at peak performance

• Support facility services preventative maintenance inventory control purchasing and contracted maintenance

• Monitor outside contractors to ensure quality pricing and work meet expectations

• Maintain accurate equipment and maintenance records

• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean organized work environment

• Identify potential hazards and recommend solutions to improve workplace safety

• High school diploma or equivalent

• 57 years of commercial facilities maintenance experience

• Strong experience with Central Plant Operations and MEP systems

• Ability to analyze and troubleshoot commercial or industrial Mechanical Electrical Plumbing and HVAC systems

• EPA 608 Type II Certification required

• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel

• Ability to work independently while supporting a team across multiple trades

• EPA 608 Universal Certification

• Two years of trade schooling in electrical systems refrigeration and/or HVAC

• Broad multi-trade facilities experience

• Central Utility Plant experience
