Onsite Project Manager Data Center Electrical (Medium Voltage)

The Onsite Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the installation coordination and delivery of medium voltage (MV) electrical systems for data center construction projects. This role ensures that all MV infrastructuresuch as substations switchgear transformers and distribution systemsis installed safely on schedule within budget and in compliance with design specifications and industry standards. The position requires close coordination with contractors utilities and engineering teams in a fast-paced mission-critical environment.

Lead onsite execution of medium voltage electrical scope for data center construction projects
Manage installation of MV systems (typically 5kV35kV) including switchgear transformers feeders and substations
Coordinate with utility providers for service integration energization and outages
Oversee subcontractors and field crews to ensure quality safety and adherence to schedule
Review and interpret electrical drawings specifications and one-line diagrams
Track project progress identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
Ensure compliance with NEC local codes and data center design standards
Manage RFIs submittals change orders and field documentation
Conduct site walks inspections and QA/QC verification of installed systems
Support commissioning activities including pre-functional and functional testing of MV systems
Collaborate with civil structural and mechanical teams to resolve coordination issues
Enforce safety protocols including lockout/tagout (LOTO) and energized work procedures
Provide regular reporting to stakeholders on schedule budget and progress
