Oliver Wyman Vector is a technical services consulting business that serves the aerospace aviation defense rail and maritime sectors.

The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for the management and enhancement of our cloud infrastructure on AWS while ensuring high standards of cybersecurity are maintained. This includes implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines automating processes and ensuring the integrity and security of our systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design implement and maintain cloud infrastructure-as-code (IaC) on AWS.
• Automate processes using tools such as AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK) CloudFormation Ansible or Terraform.
• Implement security measures in the cloud environment to safeguard data and applications.
• Optimize AWS services for performance and cost efficiency.
• Monitor regular security assessments vulnerability scans and audits.
• Work closely with development IT and operations teams to define and implement scalable solutions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in computer science Information Technology or a related field.
• 5 years of progressive professional experience in software engineering cloud infrastructure systems engineering or a related technical field.
• 3 years of hands-on experience in DevOps engineering cloud engineering or a closely related role.
• Strong experience with AWS including services like EC2 S3 Lambda RDS ECS and VPC.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g. Python Bash).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins GitHub Actions).
• Understanding of container orchestration platforms (e.g. Docker Kubernetes).
• Experience with security frameworks compliance standards and best practices (e.g. ISO 27001 NIST GDPR).
• Knowledge of network security identity and access management (IAM) and encryption technologies.

Preferred Skills:

• Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
• Experience with configuration management tools (e.g. Chef Puppet).
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) methodologies.
