The Vice Chancellors Office of Opportunity and Outreach includes oversight of Advancing Excellence in Faculty and Staff Recruitment and Leadership the Center for Science Education and Outreach; Climate and Belonging; Community Engagement and Dialogue; Disability Jewish Life LGBTQ Multicultural and CARE Resource Centers; the Office for the Prevention of Harassment and Discrimination and the direct administrative office of the Vice Chancellor. These centralized services enable system improvements that foster and enhance collaboration improve our effectiveness and serve as a cornerstone for innovation and the engagement of all.
The UCSF MESA Program is housed in the Center for Science Education and Outreach (CSEO) which is a unit within the Office of Opportunity and 1999 CSEO has provided programs and services that lead to studentacademicsuccessincreasedcollege-goingratesandexplorationofvariousSTEMcareersforthestudents and schools we serve.
Responsibilities
Involves managing or performing the administrative services or managing the full general operations of an academicornon-academicorganization(s).Administrativeservicesincludeactivitiesinfinanceandhuman resources and may also include IT facilities or student services.
General management activities include longandshortrangestrategicplanningindetermining themissionanddirectingallactivitiesofmulti- disciplinary departments through subordinate management organization policies and procedures to oversee a variety of ongoing administrative operational issues. Administers defined operational program. Analyzes and resolves operational problems of moderate scope.

EnsurestrongandeffectiveadministrationfortheofficeoftheAssistant Vice-Chancellorandthestaffofthe Center for Science Education and Outreach.
- Day-to-dayadministrativeoperationsrelatedto theCenterforScienceEducationand Outreach (CSEO).Processandmonitorprogram/centerfinancialtransactions(Accountspayableand receivables) and work with CSEO Directors to understand program financial transaction needs. BethemaincontactforallITCSEOrequests.
- Coordinate all CSEO website updates
- Ensureallequipmentandopenspacesareingood workingcondition.
- Asneededcoordinatescheduleandupdatecalendarsforvariousmeetingsand events.
- Ordersuppliesandmaintainthedailyoperationoftheresourcecenters;
- WorkwithAVCtosupporthiscalendarandmastercalendarforcenter.
- Draft presentations on behalf of AVC
Functionsasaresourceonissuessuchassupportingeventoperationsescalatedcustomer service problems and vendor concerns.
Manageeventlogisticswithadministrativesupportcoordinationandpromotion of all program events sponsored by CSEO.
- Responsiblefor Coordination of CSEO relatedevents. Thisincludespurchasingfoodordersspacerequestsevent marketing and overall coordination.
- ManageeventrelateddataincludingRSVP/Check-Indistributionandcollectionof evaluation forms and an event outcome assessment reports.
- Post-program:theAnalyst willadviseandassisttheProgram Directorsin analyzingthelogisticalsuccessoftheprogram basedoncostattendanceresource usage and participant feedback.
Responsibleformanagingtheeventevaluationprocessincludingdatacollectionand collaboration with offices Deputy Director to analyze results.
Gathersandanalyzesfinancialandotherresourcedata;preparesreportsoranalysesof operational activities evaluates current and proposed services etc.
- Createandmanageeventsbudgetandprojectionforeventsinconsultationwith CSEOs AVC.
- Monitorexpensestimeconsumptionandresourcesusedforprojectstobudgetfor future projects.
MaintainaccurateaccountinginformationforallaccountsincompliancewithUCSF accounting procedures and reporting practices.
AssistwithOfficeof OpportunityandOutreachspecialprojectsandspecialdutiesas assigned. Serve as backup to Executive Analyst and our Special Projects coordinator as necessary.

Required Qualifications:
This position requires flexibilityto orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations.
1 years of related experience
Ability to use sound judgment in responding to issues and concerns.
Solid communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all levels of staff verbally and in writing.
Solid organizational skills and ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes.
Working knowledge of common organization-specific and other computer application programs.
Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality.
