Valley Springs Behavioral Health Hospital offers compassionate high-quality inpatient and outpatient mental health and co-occurring treatment for teens adults and seniors. We provide a full-range of evidence-based medical and clinical services in a state-of-the-art 150-bed hospital operated jointly with Lifepoint Behavioral Health and Baystate Health in Holyoke MA. Programs include inpatient mental health and co-occurring treatment Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP).

How Youll Contribute:

• Assesses patients ability to safely and effectively perform occupational skills.

• Designs the appropriate plan of care including type and frequency of treatment.

• Implements the treatment plan using appropriate modalities.

• Documents subjective and objective findings of patient progress.

• Monitors and modifies the plan of care as needed. Seeks consultation as necessary.

• Educates the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits.

• Plans and/or assists with patient discharge from therapy services and treatment setting.

• Provides information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and support programs.

• Supervises and delegates the care provided by certified occupational therapy assistants and therapy technicians according to established licensing laws state regulations and practice standards.

What we are looking for:

• Bachelors Degree in Occupational Therapy Required

• License: In Massachusetts Occupational Therapists (OTs) must hold a valid state license issued by the Massachusetts Board of Allied Health Professions before practicing.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.

Salary range: $69097.60 - $93288.00
