As a member of the therapy team the Occupational Therapist is responsible for:
Conducting thorough evaluations and developing individualized treatment plans
Implementing effective evidence-based therapy interventions
Supervising and guiding Occupational Therapy Assistants
Consulting with referral sources patients families and other healthcare professionals
Licensed or eligible for licensure in Illinois under the Illinois Occupational Therapy Practice Act
AOTA membership or eligibility preferred
Ability to evaluate and treat a wide range of populations (neonates pediatrics young adults adults and geriatrics)
Current CPR certification and other service linespecific competencies
Perform client-centered evaluations and establish individualized OT treatment plans
Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy services
Manage cases through evaluation treatment revision and discharge
Maintain professional documentation and communication
Exhibit professionalism empathy and a positive attitude
Protect patient privacy and confidentiality
Collaborate as a team player contributing to problem-solving and quality improvement
Strive to exceed patient and family expectations through responsiveness and attention to detail
