Contract: 26 Weeks
Schedule: Monday Friday 7:30 AM 4:00 PM
Experience: Minimum 2 years required

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist for an Acute Rehab contract opportunity in Hilo HI. This role includes coverage in rehab and acute rehab settings supporting adult inpatient and outpatient patients through evaluation treatment planning and ongoing therapy services.
Responsibilities

Evaluate and re-evaluate assigned patients

Provide inpatient and outpatient occupational therapy services

Develop and update individualized treatment plans

Implement therapeutic programs as ordered by physicians

Manage a full patient caseload independently

Update home exercise programs as appropriate

Follow insurance authorization needs for re-evaluations

Maintain accurate documentation in therapy and hospital EMR systems
Requirements
-
Active Hawaii Occupational Therapist License required by assignment start

Minimum 2 years of adult outpatient and acute care experience required

BLS certification from American Red Cross required

Must be able to work Hawaii State and Federal holidays as needed

Must arrive the Thursday before start for Friday employee health appointment

Strong documentation communication and caseload management skills required
