Our organization is seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist to join a South Carolina school team providing individualized support to help students overcome functional challenges participate in classroom activities and build greater independence through student-centered interventions and collaboration with educators.
Job Snapshot:
- Recommend adaptive equipment and classroom strategies.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate therapy records.
- Assess students functional needs and provide individualized OT services.
- Support fine motor handwriting sensory processing visual-motor and daily living skills
- Contribute to IEP planning and collaborate with teachers families and school support teams.
Requirements
- Completion of the required supervised fieldwork experience.
- Strong clinical judgment communication organization and collaborative skills.
- Previous pediatric or school-based occupational therapy experience is beneficial.
- Current active South Carolina occupational therapy license or eligibility to obtain state licensure. A valid license is required before practicing.
- Successful completion of a board-approved occupational therapy certification examination and good standing with NBCOT or another board-approved certification program.
- Graduate of an occupational therapy education program approved by ACOTE or another accrediting body accepted by the South Carolina Board of Occupational Therapy.
