Occupational Therapist (1099)

Pay rate : $80.00 per hour /1099

Job location: 8204 Wyoming Highway 789 Lander WY 82520

Duration: 3 months with the possibility of extension

Schedule: MondayFriday

Hours: Flexible based on the Therapists preference and facility needs.

Available schedule options may include:

o 5 days 8 hours

o 4 days 10 hours

o 4.5 days 9 hours

The schedule must ensure coverage for all five weekdays.

Final working hours can be adjusted based on the Therapists availability and the needs of

the residents.




Job Duties:

Therapists will work with residents in the Intermediate Care Facility serving residents

(adults 18 - 80ish) and our SNF serving individuals with TBI organic brain injuries

dual diagnosis etc.) Both sides have residents who have more challenging behaviors or

conditions which hinders placement in the community setting. Our goal is to work on

building skills and abilities so that all our residents can live in the community (group

homes nursing homes supported staffing etc..) with success.

Therapy is part of the Allied Health Team which includes; Physical Therapy

Occupational Therapy Speech Therapy Central Supply Therapeutic Equipment and

Recreation.

Therapist will be an active member of the IDT team for a caseload of residents as well as

new and potential residents.

Therapists will perform therapeutic evaluations on residents including but not limited to

initial quarterly and annual assessments evaluations for assistive/adaptive equipment

devices as well as additional assessments that arise due to circumstances of a resident.

Therapists will provide therapeutic treatment and activities.

Therapists will consult with medical providers family members case managers IDT

and direct care staff regarding the residents needs or potential concerns.

Therapists will help train educate and monitor staff in therapeutic skills and activities

that support the established intervention plan and use of equipment. This includes

assisting with the monthly New Hire Orientation day to give an introduction to some of

the equipment care plans and interventions therapy uses with residents.

Complete documentation on time.

Evaluate the individual needs for therapeutic adaptive equipment and assist in the design

and/or purchase of equipment.

Work with various members of not only the IDT and Allied Health Team.


Qualifications:

Active or eligible Wyoming Occupational Therapist (OT) license.

Licensed Occupational Therapist with a Bachelors degree (typically in Occupational

Therapy).

Active BLS certification

Must have experience working with adult patients; candidates with experience limited to

pediatric or school-based settings are not preferred.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Strong time-management and organizational skills.

Must be flexible and adaptable to changing patient needs and work requirements.

Strong communication clinical judgment and patient-care skills.


Preferred Qualifications

Broad clinical experience across multiple healthcare settings.

Experience working with geriatric patients.

Experience in acute care settings.

Experience in home health or similar community-based settings.

Candidates with a combination of geriatric acute care and home health experience

are strongly preferred.

Ability to independently manage workload while effectively prioritizing patient care and

responsibilities.
