Job Description:
As a Network Engineer you will administer support and optimize enterprise network infrastructure to ensure high availability security and performance across multiple locations and environments. You will play a hands on role in managing routing switching firewalls and connectivity solutions while collaborating with cross functional teams to deliver reliable and secure network services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain enterprise routing switching and network infrastructure.
- Configure and support LAN WAN wireless and remote access environments.
- Manage firewall configurations VPN connectivity and secure network access.
- Monitor network performance and proactively resolve connectivity issues.
- Troubleshoot network incidents across routing switching wireless and VPN systems.
- Implement network security controls and support compliance requirements.
- Execute and manage network changes following established change management processes.
- Maintain network documentation including diagrams and operational procedures.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for circuit provisioning and issue resolution.
Required Skills Experiences Education and Competencies:
- Experience administering enterprise network environments.
- Strong understanding of routing and switching technologies.
- Experience with firewalls VPNs and secure remote access solutions.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for network performance and connectivity issues.
- Familiarity with wireless networking technologies.
- Understanding of structured change management and operational processes.
- Strong analytical organizational and problem solving skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate across technical teams and stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Cisco networking technologies.
- Knowledge of SD WAN and hybrid network environments.
- Familiarity with network monitoring and logging tools.
- Understanding of security frameworks such as NIST.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA or CCNP.
The hourly range for roles of this nature are $40.00 to $80.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills experience location and industry.
