Job Summary
The Personnel Commission announces an OPEN and PROMOTIONAL recruitment. This recruitment will result in the establishment of one integrated eligibility list. Promotional candidates will have seniority points added to final passing scores (.25 of a point for every year of classified service up to a maximum of 5 points). This list will be used to fill current and future vacancies and will be active for one year or until canceled. There is currently ONE position open in the Nutrition Services Department. This is an 8 hour/day 12 month the direction of the Director of Nutrition Services coordinates activities of the production and school site personnel; coordinates and participates in the free and reduced application process; provides technical assistance and serves as a liaison between the software vendor and the Nutrition Services Department for Point of Sale at school sites and offices; and provides inservice education to department personnel.
Training and ExperienceThe knowledge skills and abilities required for this classification would typically be acquired through graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate; a minimum of two years of college-level education in the nutrition field or in institutional food services or any combination of training and/or experience that could likely provide the desired knowledge and abilities. Related work experience in an educational environment is highly ofCorrect English usage spelling grammar and filing and entry and food service computer software toLearn and apply rules regulations and requirements of Institutional food and apply Federal State and local laws and regulations governing Child Nutrition and apply rules regulations and eligibility requirements of the National School Lunch food service operations and make compliance with various rules regulations requirements and restrictions related to health safety and sanitation in a school food service coordinate and conduct training programs related to School Food advanced computer effectively and fluently orally and in and carry out oral and written and maintain cooperative relationships with those contacted in the course of independently with a minimum of to assigned training Safety Managers Certificate or approved equivalent (must be obtained within 60 days from start of work)A valid California drivers license proof of automobile insurance and copy of current driving record from the Department of Motor Vehicles must be provided. Employees must have reliable transportation to and from field assignments.
