Position Overview

The Nursing Manager provides clinical leadership and operational oversight for the Assisted Living and Memory Care departments ensuring exceptional resident care regulatory compliance and outstanding staff performance. This position is ideal for an experienced nursing leader who is passionate about dementia care and committed to fostering a supportive resident-centered environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of Assisted Living and Memory Care resident services.
  • Conduct resident assessments develop care plans and facilitate family care conferences.
  • Ensure accurate nursing documentation medication management and compliance with all clinical standards.
  • Lead train schedule mentor and supervise Assisted Living and Memory Care staff.
  • Ensure compliance with Washington State regulations federal requirements and company policies.
  • Coordinate resident care with physicians families pharmacies hospice providers and other community partners.
  • Respond to emergencies and ensure the safety and well-being of residents and staff.
  • Conduct staff meetings for all shifts and oversee weekly nursing in-service training as well as required monthly and quarterly departmental meetings.
  • Prepare and submit reports requested by the Administrator or Director of Nursing.
  • Maintain regular communication with the Administrator and Director of Nursing and assist with overall facility operations.
  • Promote a positive team culture through coaching accountability and continuous quality improvement.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; nursing degree preferred.
  • Current Washington State nursing license (RN or LPN) required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of healthcare experience.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory or management experience.
  • Valid Washington State drivers license.
  • Current CPR certification Food Worker Card and dementia-related certifications or the ability to obtain them within the required time frame.
  • Excellent clinical judgment leadership organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience working with seniors including individuals with dementia is strongly preferred.
Physical Requirements
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist residents with mobility and transfers as needed.
    • Ability to stand walk bend reach stoop and perform repetitive movements throughout the workday.
    • Ability to respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations.
