How youll contribute:

A Nursing Assistantwho excels in this role:

Provides direct patient care

Performs specific documentation in the patients record

Maintains equipment and supplies and participates in quality assurance

Communicates appropriate information intradepartmental and interdepartmental

Assists and participates in staff education and pursues continuing education for personal development.

Applies knowledge of age-related factors appropriately to patients utilizing appropriate policies and procedures.

Perform basic patient care tasks including bathing grooming and mobility assistance.

Provide general nursing support such as positioning lifting turning and using special equipment.

Assist with toileting needs using bedpans urinals commodes or ambulation to the bathroom.

Take and record temperature pulse respiration weight height blood pressure and intake/output measurements accurately and document in a timely manner.

Prepare patient rooms for admission and transfer ensuring cleanliness and equipment readiness.

Maintain a clean comfortable and safe environment with attention to ventilation and lighting.

Support patient admission transfer and discharge procedures including handling of patient belongings.

Answer patient call lights phones and pages responding promptly and appropriately.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent Required

• Licenses: Nursing Assistant Certificate Preferred

• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) - to be obtained within 30 days
