Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our full time day Emergency Department Nurse Shift Manager you will help lead and coordinate our exceptional nursing team so they can deliver timely compassionate and life-saving care to patients in critical situations.

Every day you will oversee patient flow allocate resources efficiently manage staffing assignments and address any immediate clinical or operational challenges that arise. You will be expected to foster a collaborative and supportive work environment mentor and supervise nursing staff ensure adherence to protocols and safety standards and act as a crucial point of contact for interdepartmental communication.

To be successful in this role you will possess strong clinical expertise in emergency nursing demonstrated leadership and problem-solving skills exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities and the capacity to remain calm and decisive under pressure.

  • Supervises nursing staff assigned to a particular shift.
  • Assigns patients to available nursing staff taking into consideration the patients condition and the employees skill level
  • Assesses monitors and educates the nursing staff on patient care
  • Institutes emergency procedures as necessary
  • Anticipates staffing needs and moves proactively to respond to them.
  • Oversees stocking of supplies and updating patient records to ensure that the nursing floor is ready for subsequent shifts.

We are offering a $15000 Sign On Bonus to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience (ED) as a registered nurse.
  • Associates Degree in Nursing (e.g. ADN).
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification - American Heart Association
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification - American Heart Association
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification - American Heart Association
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) within six (6) months of hire
  • Mobile Intensive Care Nurse (MICN) within twenty four (24) months of hire
  • Current Bachelors in Nursing (BSN) or related healthcare field
    • Completion of Bachelors in Nursing (BSN) or related field within 3 years of hire
