WHO WERE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant who is already comfortable practicing independently but is still highly teachable curious and motivated to develop specialty expertise.

About the Position

We are seeking a full-time NP or PA to join a growing wound-care practice as a field-based clinician.

The clinician will evaluate and treat patients with chronic and complex wounds in their homes and post-acute settings. Extensive training and ongoing clinical education are provided to help develop genuine expertise in wound medicine.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat patients with chronic and complex wounds
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care
  • Write clinical orders and make independent clinical decisions
  • Communicate effectively with patients families nurses and other healthcare professionals
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Manage medically complex patients and identify factors that may affect wound healing
  • Participate in ongoing clinical education case reviews and documentation reviews
  • Travel locally throughout the workday to patient homes and facilities

Qualifications

  • Current Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in Texas
  • Comfortable practicing independently and making clinical decisions
  • Strong assessment documentation and communication skills
  • Comfortable caring for medically complex adult patients
  • Comfortable working independently in home and post-acute environments
  • Willingness to travel locally during the workday
  • Strong interest in learning and developing specialty expertise
  • Coachable dependable organized and committed to high-quality patient care
  • Wound-Care experience is not required but preferred

Training & Development

The practice provides concentrated initial training followed by ongoing clinical education and professional development.

Training includes wound physiology patient assessment chronic disease and healing impairment edema perfusion nutrition infection assessment tissue management advanced wound therapies procedures documentation coding and clinical decision-making.

The goal is to develop clinicians who understand why wounds fail to heal and can provide thoughtful comprehensive carenot simply perform wound visits.
