Job Summary
What Youll Do
- Develop new highly automated manufacturing and pilot lines from concept to production for new and existing products.
- Drive development of new/innovative manufacturing processes from proof of concept through to full scale production that enable improved battery performance and/or cost
- Plan and Execute DoEs to characterize boundary conditions and optimize process for manufacturability and quality
- Own design/manufacturing liaison relationship to optimize product from an automation standpoint prior to release.
- Drive equipment and process optimization to increase yield throughput and availability while reducing cost and lead-time
- Manage installation qualification and ramp of development lines
- Generate machine specifications standards and documentation
What Youll Bring
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Robotics or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience developing and launching a manufacturing assembly line from concept to production with actuators or drive systems.
- 3 years of experience in manufacturing and design of mechanical electrical and electromechanical systems with at least 1 year specifically focused on electric motors or electromechanical actuators.
- Proficiency in CAD software specifically NX for test fixture design with an understanding of design for manufacturability for various methods (e.g. CNC 3D printing).
- A strong sense of urgency and adaptability in a fast-paced rapidly evolving environment.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Python MATLAB C/C or other scripting languages for data analysis and test automation.
- Familiarity with project and documentation management tools like Jira and Confluence.
- Experience in the aerospace defense or robotics industry.
US Salary Range
$129000 - $171000 USD
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience education and/or training critical skills and/or business considerations.
