As a Buyer youll be responsible for purchasing the materials supplies machinery and services that equip our state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities. Youll collaborate across teams and showcase your organization and strategic planning skills to monitor inventory manage delivery scheduling negotiate with suppliers and procure essential items that transform possibilities into realities for our customers and teams.Role Responsibilities:
Ensure supply continuity to enable manufacturing with speed and quality. Follow-up on orders verify delivery approve payment and maintain necessary records. Adhere to standard purchasing business processes
Proactively drive and ensure timely delivery/shipment of parts from supplier to Applied factories including resolution of shipment/receiving and billing issues with supplier
Partner with suppliers on demand/supply collaboration. Execute and manage pull-ins/push-outs with suppliers to meet MRP demand
Drive inventory and E&Z reduction efforts
Negotiate and execute purchase and RFQ to drive the lowest cost consistent with consideration of quality reliability of source and urgency of need
Drive problem resolution for supply issues with key stakeholders (engineering manufacturing Program Managers) with support from Managers
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree
1-2 years of related experience
Preferred Qualifications:
A solid understanding of the industrys key business drivers
Good communication/interpersonal skills to explain complex information to others

NoThe salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location hire grade job-related knowledge skills experience and with consideration of internal equity of our current team addition to a comprehensive benefits package candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program as applicable.
For all sales roles the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
