Reporting to the Senior Manager of NA Ops Legal you will work directly with VP-level leaders and their teams to navigate a wide range of legal issues at the intersection of supply chain operations commercial transactions regulatory compliance and risk management. This is a high-impact role with significant autonomy broad exposure and the opportunity to shape legal strategy for Amazons fastest-evolving fulfillment network.
Key job responsibilities
Draft review and negotiate complex commercial agreements including vehicle procurement contracts fleet services agreements technology vendor agreements and SaaS/licensing deals.
Serve as the primary legal partner to assigned business leaders proactively identifying legal risks and providing practical business-oriented guidance.
Advise on a broad range of legal matters including commercial transactions regulatory compliance data privacy intellectual property and operational risk.
Manage outside counsel engagements including matter scoping budget oversight and work product review.
Support cross-functional initiatives across fleet operations supply chain finance and public policy teams.
Develop and maintain playbooks templates and self-service resources to scale the teams impact and enable faster deal execution.
Monitor and analyze regulatory developments in transportation fleet safety EV policy and related areas.
Contribute to the teams culture and operational improvements through knowledge sharing process enhancements and mentoring.
- Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
- 5 years of post bar admission legal experience
- Knowledge of the ethical considerations surrounding AI in the legal context such as confidentiality accuracy and bias prevention
- Experience in transactional and technology licensing or equivalent
- Experience as in-house attorney

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
